Musurgia Ensemble - Baroque Trio Sonatas and Suites
A journey through the refinement of Baroque chamber music, where Bach, Handel, Telemann and Marais reveal the art of musical conversation. Through sonatas and suites, this concert invites audiences to discover the expressiveness, balance and richness of a repertoire created for close and attentive listening.
Baroque Trio Sonatas and Suites
From the choreographic elegance of Marin Marais to the masterful counterpoint of Johann Sebastian Bach, by way of the inventiveness of Georg Philipp Telemann and the expressive balance of George Frideric Handel, this concert explores some of the finest examples of Baroque chamber music. Moving between the freedom of the French suite and the architectural sophistication of the trio sonata, the programme reveals the richness of a repertoire in which dialogue between the individual voices becomes the true driving force of musical creation.
Performed by four specialists in historically informed performance, these works acquire a distinctive dimension through the sound of period instruments. Recorder, violin, viola da gamba and harpsichord restore the tonal balance and transparency that shaped this repertoire, allowing audiences to rediscover the subtlety of a musical language conceived for intimate listening and for the art of conversation between instruments.
