Jazz at Monserrate - Jazz for Babies
In the unique setting of the Music Room at the Palace of Monserrate, Jazz for Babies invites babies aged 0 to 5 and their families to discover jazz through a sensory, participatory musical experience specially designed for early childhood. Led by Paulo Lameiro, this concert transforms improvisation, rhythm and listening into a joyful moment of discovery and connection for babies, parents and grandparents.
Jazz at Monserrate - Jazz for Babies
In the enchanting setting of the Music Room at the Palace of Monserrate, the Festival presents a very special event: Jazz for Babies. With the renowned artistic quality and sensitivity of the Concerts for Babies, each morning includes two sessions designed especially for little ones — from birth to 3 years old — and their families, bringing jazz into the embrace of early childhood.
Led by Paulo Lameiro and the musicians who have been delighting babies across Portugal (and beyond) for decades, this concert treats babies as a full and present audience, offering them an authentic and immersive musical experience, where improvisation, rhythm and the freedom of jazz become material for listening, play, and discovery.
Without gimmicks or condescension, Jazz for Babies invites parents, grandparents, and little ones to share a vivid, intimate musical moment — where there’s dancing, singing, and listening, with jazz as a language of affection and invention.
