Discovering the Forest as a Family
At Farmyard of Monserrate, there is time and space to run, climb, play, create, build shelters, or let your imagination run wild with the natural elements the forest has to offer.
In this activity led by Movimento Bloom, families are invited to explore the forest through games and activities inspired by the Flow Learning™ methodology from Sharing Nature®. This approach uses play as a way to foster a closer relationship with nature, ourselves, and others.
The activities encourage interaction between parents and children, connection, creativity, and respect for biodiversity, in an environment designed for relaxed learning and discovery.
As an old rule among those who truly love the forest reminds us: take nothing but photographs; leave nothing but footprints. And this morning, we would add: take home plenty of memories.
About the Guest
Magda Morbey Ferro — Movimento Bloom
Passionate about nature and environmental education, Magda Morbey Ferro co-founded Movimento Bloom in 2010, an organisation that promotes environmental awareness through activities in which play takes centre stage.
Since 2019, she has led Escola da Floresta Bloom, a school without walls that gives children the opportunity to develop a close and ongoing relationship with nature.

In partnership with Parques de Sintra, the environmental non-governmental organisation Movimento Bloom holds monthly OPEN DAYS at the Farmyard of Monserrate and the Monserrate Nature Interpretation Centre.
In addition to the complementary activities, admission to these facilities on Open Days is free,subject to prior registration via the Parques de Sintra official website. Visitors taking part in the complementary activities are automatically registered for the Open Day.
