The King’s Treasure
A fun way to learn more about the history of Sintra and Portugal.
A journey through time for younger visitors
The history of Sintra and Portugal unfolded in this palace. From King Dinis of Portugal to Manuel I of Portugal, we leap from century to century, exploring the maze of rooms and the key achievements of the monarchs who lived here. We will learn about the functions of the various chambers and what life was like in a palace, discover which ships sail in the Galley Room, and find out which king was once held prisoner here. We will also see whether our surname is inscribed in the Great Hall of Coats of Arms.
Until we reach the giant chimneys through which smoke once rose from the royal kitchen, there will be plenty of team challenges, good humour, and surprises along the way. In the end, will we uncover the King’s Treasure?
