It was at the Palace of Pena that Queen Amelia received the news of the proclamation of the Republic in Portugal, in 1910. The Palace of Pena was her preferred refuge, reflecting both her fondness for Sintra and her deep appreciation of Art and Nature. An encounter with the last Queen of Portugal, where history, art, memory and emotion walk hand in hand.

- The meeting point for the start of the visit is the Welcome Centre, located at the entrance to the Park of Pena.
- Visitors are advised to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- A tolerance of 15 minutes after the scheduled start time is granted.
- Before or after the guided visit, visitors may explore the park freely.
